Mr Badri Prasad

Seasoned professional with 30 years of experience in land acquisition, land use management, rehabilitation and resettlement, and social impact assessment. Expertise includes land acquisition under LA Act 1894, RFCTLARR Act 2013, and Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act 1957, involuntary resettlement, stakeholder engagement, forest land diversion, government land resumption, and ESG reporting (BRSR, GRI, CSRD, CDP, GHG accounting). He has managed land acquisition and R&R for major NTPC projects including Coal Mines projects, NTPC Lara, Talaipalli, Gadarwara, Khargone, and Darlipali. He contributed to NTPC’s Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy, policy on Right of User (ROU) & Right of Way (ROW).
Ms Kalpalata Dutta

Has more than twenty-five years’ experience in research, training and education on theory and practice of international human rights law. She has curated learning programs on human rights and peace related subjects including on use of law as a resource for bringing social change, and business and human rights. She has also authored manuals and textbooks on international human rights standards and practice. Since 2013 she has been associated with the ASEAN University Network - Human Rights Education, a network of human rights and peace academics in Southeast Asia. She holds a L.L.M from Central European University, Budapest and a PhD from the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University in Thailand.
